The Mid-Ohio Progressives will host a Candidates Night Monday, March 25 at the Bucyrus Public Library. The group hopes to help candidates communicate with those in attendance so that voters can make informed decisions before early voting starts for the May 7 primary election.

This will not be a debate, but rather an opportunity for candidates to talk about why they are running for office and what they hope to accomplish. Candidates without primary opposition will be introduced; those with opposition and representatives for the city and county issues will each have five minutes to speak. Questions will also be taken from the audience. This is the format we used at a previous Candidates Night and it appeared to be a success with a standing-room-only crowd.

Doors will open and registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the event starting at 6 p.m. The library closes at 8 p.m. A table will be available for candidates and issues representatives to offer literature and signs if they choose to do so.
