The Bucyrus Historical Society at 202 S Walnut Street is about to celebrate 50 years of existence. To launch the event, a flower show “Downtown Bucyrus—Reminiscing 50 Years” has been planned by the Earth, Wind and Flowers Garden Club.

Stores and businesses from years ago like Baumoel’s, Isaly’s, Ulmer’s Gifts and Music, Schrier’s Cheese, Mac’s, Isaly’s, Henry’s Studio and Camera Shop are being given floral tributes. The flower show is being staged throughout the house and in the Carriage House. Schwinn bicycles with baskets filled with flowers will appear in the back yard beside the Crane Fountain.

Come tour the former Scroggs House to see fresh flower arrangements and horticulture grown by garden club members. Visit at no charge Saturday, June 22 from 11 to 3 and on Sunday, June 23.

Hostesses will greet you and Society Board members will be on hand to answer questions.
