Free Training Addresses Bleeding Emergencies

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call to action initiative from the US Department of Homeland Security intended to cultivate local efforts to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency until help arrives.

In our community, Central Ohio Trauma System, Crawford County Public Health, and the Crawford County Public Healthcare Coalition have partnered to further the campaign and to present free Stop the Bleed training.

A Stop the Bleed training class will be held at Crawford County Public Health on Monday, April 30 at 10 am. This informative, hands-on class is for everyone who might be present at a car accident, farm injury, or any other incident in which serious injury has occurred. The class is free, but space is limited and an RSVP is required. Please see here for more information and to register.

Every participant receives a free military grade tourniquet.
