Bucyrus Area Chamber Ambassador Program
The Ambassador Program consists of volunteers from the Chamber membership who donate their time to assist the chamber in various activities. As informed chamber representatives, the ambassadors serve as the entity of the chamber that focuses on the chamber membership retention.
Ambassadors have an opportunity to not only represent and promote the Chamber, but to connect and engage with other members, local elected officials and key business stakeholders, while also promoting their own business at various Chamber events.
Committee Mission
It is the mission of the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program to promote member commitment and retention by:
- Raising awareness of chamber activities and benefits
- Informing and involving new chamber members to promote strong continuing membership
- Encouraging meaningful and beneficial participation in the chamber’s programs
- Serving as a liaison between the chamber staff and membership

Expectations
Ambassadors will be expected to make every effort to attend functions, meetings and/or activities. Ambassadors will assist in recruiting new members by explaining member benefits, promoting chamber activities and passing referrals to the chamber staff. Ambassadors will assist in retaining current members and encouraging involvement in chamber committees as well as chamber events, programs, etc.
Ambassadors are required to dress in business attire at all events and Chamber-provided name badges must be worn. The term of an Ambassador is one calendar year.
