Nominations Are Closed for 2023 Chamber Annual Awards
We have concluded our collection of nominations for the 2023 Chamber Annual Awards. Winners are selected each year in each of seven categories: Citizen of the Year, Posthumous Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Business of the Year, and Organization of the Year. Award nominations open on Aug. 1, 2023, and winners are announced at the Chamber Annual Awards Dinner on Nov. 9.
The Bucyrus Citizen of the Year Award recognizes a member of the community who has made significant contributions to Bucyrus and whose accomplishments exemplify the values of the greater Bucyrus area.
The Bucyrus Posthumous Citizen award recognizes a member of the community who is no longer living but played a key role in the community before their passing and leaves a legacy long after they are gone. This award is in dedication and honor of the deceased.
The Bucyrus Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a member of the community whose outstanding service and dedication have made a significant contribution to the community.
The Bucyrus Young Professional award recognizes a young professional — or non-student under the age of 35 — who has made significant contributions to Bucyrus and the general Bucyrus area.
The Bucyrus Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes an entrepreneur who is building and sustaining successful, dynamic businesses in the community.
The Bucyrus Business of the Year Award recognizes a business that contributes to the economic growth and quality of life in the community and whose practices and professional conduct contribute to a sense of cooperation within the entire business community.
The Bucyrus Organization of the Year Award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated remarkable spirit and has made a positive difference in the community.
Frequently Asked Questions
Nominations are considered by the Chamber Awards Committee. Submissions will be evaluated on a number of different items, including the nominees list of qualifications and achievements as well as the nominee character statements, written by the nominators. Nomination letters should contain information on the nominees eligibility for the suggested award.
The deadline to submit nominations is 10 p.m. on Oct. 1. The nomination form must be complete before a nominee can be considered. If you have submitted a nomination and have not received a confirmation, email [email protected] or call the Chamber at (419) 562-4811 to verify that the Chamber committee received your submission.
You do not need to be an owner or employee of a member business to receive an award. We encourage you to submit nominations for businesses of all sizes and types.
The top three finalists will be notified the second week in October. Winners will be announced at the Chamber Annual Awards Dinner on Nov. 10.
We encourage previous winners to submit nominations for other award categories as applicable.
