Everyone needs a little TLC, even a staple community business.

Coming into 2023, Dean and Terri Stuckman, co-owners of The Horseshoe Bar on Washington Square, had a list of projects they wanted to complete to show their historic building a little extra love.

The pair completed the bulk of their initial renovations earlier this month and are kicking off a new era by organizing events that they hope will give back to the community. From pool tournaments to live music, the Bucyrus couple is hoping to give patrons a warm welcome, cold drinks, and clean facilities for anyone wanting to have a good time.

This month, The Horseshoe Bar has two groups performing: Arthor Wrytus on April 22 and the Railers on April 29. Both bands will keep the party going from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Pool tournaments are each Thursday and Saturday, and the owners have just initiated a new Ladies’ Night, where women who stop in can take advantage of $1 off drinks throughout each Friday night.

As one of the newest members, The Horseshoe Bar is teaming up with the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate their renovations and ring in a new era on April 28. Festivities begin with a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. The OH-TX food truck will also be available, and Happy Hour runs from 4-6 p.m. All are welcome.
